Balarama

With a view to manifest Himself quickly, Lord Krishna, instructed His Yogamaya to take away and establish the seventh child at another place. If Lord Krishna had not given such an instruction to Yogamaya, then the seventh child would have taken birth in the prison only, and, Kamsa would have tried to kill this seventh child and for this purpose, when he touches this child, Kamsa would have been destroyed instantaneously. Lord Krishna thought, that if the events take place in this manner, then the Lord will not be given an opportunity to take revenge on Kamsa and this, also, will delay Lord's manifestation. Hence, He gave the order to His Yogamaya.

The entire world came to know, the result of the task undertaken by Yogamaya, on the instructions of Lord Krishna viz. the secret establishment of the foetus in mother Rohini after being lifted from mother Devaki. The entire city was kept, by Yogamaya, in such a stupor and sleep, that none knew about this secret operation. Hence, when they heard about this, the people were surprised. The people thought that mother Devaki's pregnancy was aborted. The pregnancy, at that time was about 5 to 6 months' duration, when Yogamaya had completed the task of this transfer. The people, when they came to know about the abortion, thought that this heinous act, was perpetrated by the demoniac followers of Kamsa.

Fire incarnation

The element of fire played an important role throughout Shri Vallabhacharya’s life. He is seen as the incarnation of agni, or fire (from the face of Shri Krishna). Fire is also the devata (deity) of speech, and so he is called Vaka Pati, the Lord of Speech.

The famous teachings found in his Shri Subodhini, Anubhasya and numerous other devotional and Vedantic works have shed brilliance upon the inner meanings of Shrimat Bhagavatam, a central Vaishnava scripture, as well as various Vedantic texts. He not only embodied the inner beauty of Shri Radha and Shri Krishna, but was a perfect witness to Their lilas (their divine sports, recounted in Shrimat Bhagavatam). His attainment allowed for rare empowerments that have been and continue to be passed on to us through his devotional teachings.

Parikramas

His aim was to spread his Shhudhadvaita philosophy to the maximum number of people in India. Shri Vallabh’s mission in life was to initiate the Daivi Jeevas (pious souls) with the Brahmasambandh Diksha. He met all the Daivi Jeevas during his Prithvi Parikramas

Shri Vallabh began his first Parikrama at the age of thirteen. His decision on conducting Parikramas was initially resisted by his widowed mother. However, without the permission of his mother it was impossible to leave his place. Shri Vallabh then, being an incarnation of Agni (Fire), ordered Agni to set his house on fire with himself stuck inside the house. When Shri Vallabh’s mother asked her son to leave the house immediately, he took her words as final and readied himself for the Parikramas. He promised his mother that he would definitely return to perform her funeral rites. Thereafter, Shri Vallabh finished his three Parikramas and settled in Adel near Allahabad.

While performing the Parikramas, the three rules which Shri Vallabh strictly abided by are as follows -

1.   Performing the Parikrama barefoot. (In his life, he walked around 12000 km shoeless).
2.   Never entering into a village or city and always staying on its fringes.
3.   Never wearing stitched clothes. (He wore dhoti and Uparana for lifetime).

Family : Wife - 2 Sons / 7 Grand Sons

1. Shri Gopinathaji and
2. Shri Vitthalnathaji-also known as Shri Gusainji
